Anti-Ragging Committee

            In compliance of the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of” University of Kerala Vs. Council, Principal’s Colleges, Kerala and others” in civil appeal no. 887 of 2009 and AICTE Notification F. No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009, The Principal, being the head of this institute, hereby constitutes a standing committee to be known as “Anti Ragging Committee” comprising of the following:

1. Sri Ramesh Chandra Sahoo ,Principal, Government Polytechnic, Jagatsinghpur -Chairman
2. Representative of Civil Administration: Block Development Officer, Naugaon- Member
3.  Representative of Police Administration: IIC, Naugaon P.S. -Member
4. NGO Representative : Sri Dhirendra Kumar Mallick, Director,Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Jagatsinghpur-Member
5. Media Reprentative: Sri Pradosh Mohanty, Reporter Nirbhaya Odia Daily-Member
6. Faculty member from the Institution: Sri Smruti Ranjan Mohanty,Sr. Lect. (Electrical Engg.)-Member
7. Faculty member from the Institution: Sri Samir Ranjan Behera, Sr. Lect.(Mechanical Engg.)-Member
8. Representatives from Non-Teaching staff:  Achyuta Biswal, Jr.Clerk - Member Convenor                  
9. Representatives of parents: Sri Sambhunath Roul, Asst.Teacher - Member
10. Representatives of parents: Sri Ashok Kumar Sahoo, Sr. Revenue Asst. -Member
11. Representatives of 1st year Students  : Sanjay Barik(Mechanical Engg. Branch)
12. Representatives of 1st year  Students: Archita Nayak(Electrical Engg. Branch)
13. Representatives of 2rd year  Students:Biswajit Patra( Petrochemical Engg. Branch)
14. Representatives of 3rd   year Students: Miss Khusi Rauat(Chemical Engg. Branch)

The committee composed as above shall meet at least once in a year to recommend preventive

measure that can be adopted by the institute to prohibit, prevent & eliminate the menace of Ragging in any form on the campus of the institute.

           The tenure of the nominated members will be renewed / reviewed annually.

                                                                                                                 Anti-Ragging Squad

            To monitor the anti- ragging mechanism and to ensure compliance with the provisions of anti- ragging regulation such as surprise raids on the hostels and other place vulnerable to incidents and having potential for ragging are deemed necessary. The squad should conduct the spot enquiry of any incidents happening and submit the enquiry report and recommendations to anti- ragging committee. A standing committee to be known as “Anti Ragging Squad” comprises of the following:
