About Department of Mathematics and science

                Department of Mathematics and science of Goverment Polytechnic Jagatsinghpur was established in the year 2017. All students joining in any 3 years Engineering Diploma Courses must have to study 1st & 2nd Semester subjects under Mathematics and science Department. The main aim of this department is to teach the basic fundamentals of various Engineering concepts like Physics, Chemistry, Mathmetics and practices basic Laboratory works like Physics Lab, Chemistry lab, workshop practice etc. 

             All students have to study the following Theory & Practical subjects while they are in Mathematics and science departments.

1st Semester:

Theory Subjects:

              1. Th-1 (A) : Communication Skills in English

                  OR

                 Th-1 (B) : Introduction to IT Systems

              2. Th-2  : Applied Physics-I

              3. Th-3  : Mathematics-I

              4. Th-4 (A) : Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

                  OR

                  Th-4 (B) : Engineering Mechanics

              5. Th-5  : Environmental Science

     Practical Subjects:

             1. Pr-1 (A) : Communication Skills in English Lab.

                 OR

                 Pr-1 (B): Introduction to IT System Lab.

              2. Pr-2 : Applied Physics-1 Lab.

              3. Pr-3 (A) : Engineering Graphics.

                  Pr-3 (B) : Engineering Workshop Practice

              4. Pr-4 (A) : Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Lab.
