About Mechanical Engineering Department:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Govt. Polytechnic Jagatsingh was commenced in the year 2017 with an intake capacity of 60 students.
The department works with an objective of providing technical knowledge with wide scope for practical experience of the students.
The department is committed to impart comprehensive education and practical skills in the field of Mechanical Engineering and plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring Mechanical Engineering students.
The department of Mechanical Engineering is equipped with state-of-the art facilities for Diploma Engineering students.

Vision:

TO BE RECOGNISED AS A PRODUCER OF SKILLED DIPLOMA MECHANICAL ENGINEERS BY IMPARTING QUALITY TECHNICAL EDUCATION ALONG WITH ITS APPLICATIONS, PRACTICAL SKILLS AND MORAL ETHICS AS PER REQUIREMENT OF INDUSTRIES.

Mission:

TO EDUCATE THE STUDENTS BY PROVIDING BASIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIFE TO SOLVE THE VARIOUS SOCIETAL PROBLEMS.
GIVING MORE EMPHASIS ON PRACTICAL SKILLS THROUGH HANDS ON PRACTICE OF DIFFERENT MACHINERIES, MACHINE TOOLS AND THROUGH VARIOUS PRACATICAL EXPERIMENTS.
TO IMPROVE INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND LEADERSHIP QUALITY THROUGH VARIOUS TEACHING, LEARNING METHODOLOGIES AS PER THE INDUSTRY DEMAND.

Program Educational Objective:

Apply the knowledge of engineering, critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills in professional engineering practice or in non-engineering fields like business etc.
Embrace leadership and collaborative roles in their careers.

Program Outcome (PO)

PO1- Basics and discipline specific knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and well defined engineering using codified standard methods.
PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for well defined technical problem and assist with the design of system components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4: Engineering tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technic to conduct standard test and measurements.
PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability and ethical practices.
PO6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually as a team member and or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well defined engineering activities.
PO7: Life long learning: Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

Program Specific Outcome:

To Design, model, simulate and analyse mechanical systems and processes by applying the principles of Thermal engineering, Machine design, Manufacturing and Automation.
Design mechanical engineering components for industrial applications and Compatibility with various machinery and its operation with maintenance and applications.
Apply industrial engineering and management principles and consider public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental factors to work professionally in the industry or as an entrepreneur.
